CCNP TSHOOT beta exam

The TSHOOT certification exam will first be released as a beta in January 26, 2010.  Cisco uses a group of early test results (the beta) to calibrate the final cut score and eliminate questions that correlate poorly with overall results.  Candidates who pass a beta exam receive full credit.  Scores on beta exams, however, are not available immediately and candidates must wait until the beta analysis is complete, generally about six to eight weeks to receive their score.  The TSHOOT beta exam will be available beginning January 26, 2010 at a discounted price of $50 USD.  Additionally, the first 150 candidates to complete the TSHOOT beta exam will receive an exam voucher good for one free professional-level Cisco certification exam taken within the next year.  Scores for the TSHOOT beta exam are expected to be released the first week of April 2010.  Candidates may only attempt each beta exam one time.

The last day for candidates to take the BSCI, BCMSN, ISCW and ONT exams will be July 31, 2010.  Candidates who pass the BSCI and BCMSN exams will be able to count those exams towards CCNP certification as long as their score is valid-three years from the date of the exam.  Please note that no direct replacements are being developed for the ISCW and ONT exams and passing scores on these exams will only be accepted until July 31, 2010.  Candidates for CCNP who do not complete all their certification by July 31, 2010 will be required to pass the TSHOOT exam #642-832 to meet the requirements for certification.
